Level 2 Unit 5 Reading
Objective: What people eat
Use the audio to guide your reading then answer the questions below.

On Saturday afternoon, Laura and her friends eat at the restaurant near the university. First, they order an appetizer. Laura chooses some soup, and her friend orders the salad. There is also some bread on the table.

For the entrée, Laura orders grilled chicken with rice and steamed vegetables like carrots and broccoli. Her friend chooses fried fish with potatoes. They don’t eat any seafood today because one friend doesn’t like it.

After the meal, they want dessert. Laura eats some cake, and her friend eats cookies and chocolate. They drink milk and orange juice as a beverage.

Laura likes this restaurant because the food is fresh. She eats some fruit like mango and strawberries after lunch. For Laura, the food at this restaurant is simple but very good.
